Monday's Question of the Day! (Jan. 25, 2010)

**Thanks to Eleni at la femme readers for hosting Monday's Question of the Day!**

Question:
So many young adult books feature the"love triangle" (ex. Bella/Edward/Jacob).  Who makes up your favorite love triangle and what book or series are they from?

My answer:

Wicked LovelyInk ExchangeFragile EternityRadiant Shadows
It was hard for me to choose a favorite because a lot of my favorite books feature a love triangle!  But I decided to go with Aislinn, Keenan, and Seth from the Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr.  I was drawn into this series because of the characters and the depth that Melissa Marr gave them.  You can feel Seth's devotion to Aislinn, and the longing and desperation Keenan feels is almost tangible as well.  Aislinn has feelings for both of them and is torn between her deep love for Seth and her duty to Keenan and the Faery Court.  I can't wait to read the next installment in this series, Radiant Shadows, that releases April 20, 2010!

*I would love to hear your answer to this question!!  Leave me a comment!!!

  1. I really liked the love triangle between Dorian-Eugenie-Kiyo in Richelle Mead's Dark Swan series, but this is not YA.
So i think I'd go with Cam-Luce-Daniel from Fallen by Lauren Kate. I like that there's a bigger scheme involved even if neither Luce nor us really know what it's about lol

  2. Yay you're using my meme :) Hm, great question..I can't really think of any sexually frustrating triangle like Twilight lol, but I recently finished Wondrous Strange and Darklight by Lesley Livingston and their seems to be a small hint of someone who possibly might be interested in the female protagonist besides her lover, I know I don't wanna give much away lol :D

  3. I like the love triangle between Oliver, Schuyler and Jack in the Blue Bloods Series. I know which guy I'm siding with but it gets so intense at times.

  4. My favorite love triangle would be in Hunger Games! Lol, i used to be team gale, but after reading catching fire, I'm team Peeta :D

  5. I'd defiantly have to agree with Jean (Tuning Into YA Books) I have the same experience with being team Gale but then after Catching Fire switching to Peeta.

And another one would have to be Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice between Lizzy, Mr. Darcy and Mr. Wickham. I guess it's not that love triangly but I'm going to count it as one, and of course I'm on the side of Mr. Darcy.

  6. This is hard!! I really want to say Cam and Daniel from Fallen, but I also feel torn between Balthazar and Lucas. Another good example of a book that hasn't come out yet but has a really good love triangle is Mieradome by Kate Hegarty.

  7. I think I'm gonna have to agree with your answer! It's really hard to pick between Seth and Keenan. But as of now, I'm leaning more towards Keenan. :)

  8. My favorite love triangle, without a doubt, is between Rose, Dimitri and Adrian in the Vampire Academy series by Michelle Reed. Sounds like I need to read Hunger Games, everyone seems to be switching to Team Peeta. Who is he? I better go check it out. Great question by the way.
